And there you have it. Over the last few weeks, one of the biggest stories has been the possibility of All Elite Wrestling being brought to live. The promotion, run by Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks, has been teased for weeks now with names for events and shows, but it wasn’t clear if the idea was actually going to get off the ground. With a new year comes new details though, and now we know a lot.

Well this is big. Check out the announcement:

“New Years Elite” - Being The Elite Ep. 132

On the latest episode of Being The Elite, which debuted at midnight pacific coast time on January 1, 2019, Rhodes, the Young Bucks and Adam Page officially announced All Elite Wrestling and their first event called Double Or Nothing. There are no more details at this time such as a location or a date, though there is a good chance that more information will come out on the next episode of the show.

Opinion: You had to know this was coming and they picked a good time to drop the news. Wrestling isn’t doing much due tot he holidays and they have a clear path for a few days until Wrestle Kingdom comes up on Friday. As it is though, this is huge news, though we’ll have to see where things go. It’s one thing to have one very good show, but to create a full promotion is a lot harder.
