On a break. There are all kinds of popular stars on the WWE roster and they put in quite a bit of work to reach those levels. You can see them on television almost every week, not counting their non-televised events. That can weigh down on a wrestler at some point and they might need a break. That appears to be the case again with a popular WWE Superstar and he is doing something about it.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Sami Zayn has requested time off from WWE and the company has granted it. This comes after Zayn was attacked by Drew McIntyre this week on Monday Night Raw, with McIntyre injuring Zayn’s ankle following a match. There is no word on how long Zayn will be away or when he is expected to make his return.

Zayn is a heck of a star. Check out what he can do when he is around:

Opinion: Zayn getting some time away is fine as he has more than put in the effort in recent months. It should make for a heck of a comeback, perhaps at the Royal Rumble, as he is someone the fans will react to no matter what. If nothing else, it will be nice to see him coming back refreshed and probably a good bit more healed up, which should help him out quite a bit going forward.

What do you think of the idea? What should Zayn do when he gets back? Let us know in the comments below.
