They need a plan. Vince McMahon may no longer be the owner of WWE but he is going to be around the company for a very long time come. There is pretty much no way around that being the case, as McMahon has reportedly been making changes to WWE television in recent weeks. This includes a variety of matches being canceled or changed, but WWE has some plants to try and deal with him.

According to Fightful Select, WWE has been attempting to “Vince-proof” Monday Night Raw and SmackDown by announcing some matches weeks in advance. The thinking behind the move is that McMahon generally likes to present matches that are advertised rather than cancel announced plans. This is not universal though and an advertised match between Bayley and Shotzi did not take place on last week’s SmackDown.

Opinion: The fact that WWE has to “Vince-proof” shows tells you a lot of what you need to know about where things are at the moment. The company has to come up with plans to deal with the chaos that McMahon can cause, which leads to all kinds of issues. Hopefully this works, as WWE needs to find some way to pull McMahon back before he causes things to fall apart again.
