Earlier this month, a report surfaced that the Dyad (Jagger Reid/Rip Fowler, formerly known as the Grizzled Young Veterans) had requested their releases from WWE. The releases seem to have not come, as the team continues to appear on NXT. According to 411mania.com, both have since tweeted out messages (since deleted) confirming that their requests were denied and announcing that they will be free agents on October 15, 2023. There is no word on WWE’s reaction to the tweets.

Opinion: That might not have been the best move as the two are still under contract to WWE. That is the deal they agreed to in the first place and now they only have to make it another six months. While they might not want to be around, they also shouldn’t be announcing a countdown to their contracts expiring in public. If they want to get independent dates booked for then fine, but finish out the deals you signed in the first place.
What do you think of the statements? How has the team done in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
