That’s a specific problem. We are in an era when there is more wrestling available than there has been at almost any point in history. Through the power of streaming, there are all kinds of wrestling shows readily available and it can be interesting to see what is out there. It seemed we were getting ready to see a new show, but now that might not be the case after a specific incident.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Get Back To Us: WWE Reportedly Canceled Vignette For Superstar Return On SmackDown
Earlier this year, reports began circulating that an NWA show would begin airing on the CW network, though there may be an issue between the two sides. On October 28, the NWA presented its Samhain event, which featured a series of segments showing Father James Mitchell snorting a white powder, which was implied to be cocaine. According to Haus Of Wrestling, this has caused some executives at the CW Network to be angry at the NWA. These are the same people who have wanted the NWA to only air on the network’s app. There is no word on when a decision will be made.
This was…something. Check out the segment, plus some better NWA moments:
Opinion: I’m not sure what there is to say here as this is kind of an insane situation. I would certainly hope that this isn’t what will take the NWA out of their upcoming TV deal, but at the same time, what was anyone supposed to think that was going to do? It’s one of those ideas that you probably shouldn’t do but for some reason the NWA tried, which might not have been the brightest move.
What did you think of the clip? Will the show air on the network? Let us know in the comments below.
