It would be a big one. Titles are one of the most important things in wrestling, as they allow wrestlers to seem like a much bigger deal overnight. A wrestler who wins a title can claim to be a former champion throughout the rest of their careers after losing the championship. That can take them for years, and now we might be seeing just that in a few days.

According to Fightful Select, WWE is “on the one yard line” to bring a former WWE Champion back to the company for next week’s Day 1 edition of Monday Night Raw. It is not clear who the former champion is or which title they would have held, either a men’s or women’s championship. Opinion: I’m not sure what is going on here or who might be showing up on Monday Night Raw, but Triple H acknowledging the story would certainly suggest that there is something there. What matters is drawing up as much interest as possible and that certainly seems to have taken place. With the start of the Road To WrestleMania taking place next week, more than one big return wouldn’t stun me at all.
