That’s a big one. Wins and losses are some of the most important things in wrestling. A wrestler winning quite a few matches makes it clear to the fans that the person is being seen as a bigger deal, while a loss can be a speed bump. It can mean a lot when a wrestler loses for the first time in a while and that was the case this week a lengthy undefeated streak was broken.

The main event of this week’s Monday Night Raw saw Cody Rhodes defeat Solo Sikoa with the Cross Rhodes. The loss marked Sikoa’s first pinfall loss since becoming a full time member of the main roster in September 2022, though he has previously lost via disqualification. This is his first televised pinfall loss of any kind since June 8, 2022 in NXT.

Sikoa is a monster. Check out some of his time on the main roster:

Opinion: Sikoa losing to Rhodes makes sense with Rhodes going on to main event WrestleMania in six days, but there is something to the idea of Sikoa being the undefeated monster who is saved for a major match down the line. The good thing is that Sikoa was heavily protected in the match, but there is a difference in having no losses and having one loss. I’m sure Sikoa will be fine though, as WWE has put in the work coming in.

What does the loss mean for Sikoa? How far can he go in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
