They were good. Tag teams have had a long history in WWE, with the company presenting them for decades now. During the most recent edition of his Oh You Didn’t Know podcast, WWE Hall of Famer the Road Dogg revealed that he cried when Vince McMahon split up the New Age Outlaws. Dogg told McMahon that he “could not do this” without Gunn as Dogg felt that he needed him. The team split in 1999 but had various reunions over the years. During their careers, they were six time Tag Team Champions in WWE.

The team was rather awesome. Check out some of their moments together:

Opinion: That’s quite the reaction and at the end of the day, I can get the feeling behind it. The Outlaws were one of the best and most successful teams that WWE ever produced and a lot of that was due to their chemistry. It makes sense for Dogg to be nervous about doing something on his own when he didn’t have the most success as a singles star before. There is an emotional aspect to wrestling and it was on display here, as it should have been.
