That’s a great save. There are moments in wrestling that are well known for less that the most positive reasons. Someone could make a mistake and it will be played over and over for a long time to come, often with the promotion poking fun at them the whole way through. That was the case last year but it seems that the not so great moment had quite the silver lining.

On December 16, 2022, Hit Row took part in a multi team match on SmackDown. During the match, Top Dolla attempted a running dive to the floor but got his legs caught on the top rope, causing him to land short. A fan tweeted to Dolla, mocking him for the anniversary of the botch. Dolla responded, saying that he had performed the move successfully before but his legs felt off this time. As a result he went to the doctor, where he found out he had Type 2 Diabetes and was about to lose both of his legs. He credited the botch with saving his legs and his life.
The botch saved my life. I made that dive a dozen times before, legs felt off but I didn’t think about it. After I failed I went to the doc & found out I had Type II diabetes & my blood sugar was 626.
I almost lost my life & was about to lose both feet. The botch saved my life. https://t.co/NV1zxspjr2

That’s rather positive. Check out some more positive Hit Row moments:
Opinion: The botch was the subject of all kinds of ridicule and it still doesn’t look good in any positive way, but if this is what came out of it then that’s much more important. Dolla might not have been the most popular wrestler but his health matters more than anything else that happens in the ring. At least he’s getting healthier and that is great to see, even if he’s no longer in WWE.
