It’s a big one. We are coming up on the end of the year and that means WWE is going to be starting to get ready for their last major events before the new year. While this includes a variety of Premium Live Events, there are going to be some shows which are available for free. That is going to be the case in just a few months, and it seems that it is going to be even bigger than expected.

WWE has announced that Saturday Night’s Main Event will be returning on December 14, marking the show’s return after a sixteen year absence. While no matches have been announced thus far, Wrestling Observer Radio is reporting that the show is going to be a “pay per view quality” card. While not confirmed, one match rumored for the show is Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens, which WWE reportedly wants to have a “shoot style presentation”.

Opinion: This is what the show needs to be. One of the biggest issues that the relaunch of Saturday Night’s Main Event faced was having the show not feel important. WWE has to try to do something with the show or no one is going to care. Thankfully it seems that WWE has some special plans for the show, which is quite the promising sign for what we have coming up.
