They had a plan? WWE offers a lot of content at any given time and it can be overwhelming to say the least. One of the problems that this can cause is the lack of anything having a real impact. That makes it all the more important when you see something actually take place, which was the case this week. Now we know a little bit more about a fairly historic moment.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Big E. cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase to defeat Bobby Lashley and become the new WWE Champion. According to Fightful Select, WWE had planned for Big E. to successfully cash in his briefcase soon after he won it in the first place. WWE decided to make the change this weekend with Big E. learning of the decision on Monday. In addition, most of the roster stayed around to see the title change as Big E. is popular backstage.

It really was a great moment. Check out how it went down and the fallout:
Opinion: The title change was certainly a nice moment for Big E., who has been around for a long time and seemed ready for the big step up to the next level. Winning the title was a long time coming and while I could have gone for him doing it without the briefcase, it is certainly better than having him sitting around in the midcard for months and months on end.
What did you think of the title change? How long will Big E. be champion? Let us know in the comments below.
