Get your bids in. While there are two major wrestling promotions that get most of the attention, there is more to the wrestling world than WWE and AEW. Other promotions around the world have top level talent and the two major promotions will often try to sign up whomever they can. That seems to be the case again, as one of the biggest stars in the world is set to become a free agent soon.

According to Sports Illustrated, former IWGP World Champion Kazuchika Okada is set to be a free agent at the end of January. While there is no word on where he is expected to sign next, Okada is said to be “serious entertaining” offers from both WWE and AEW. Okada has wrestled for AEW in the past, including this year at Forbidden Door and is set to face AEW’s Bryan Danielson at Wrestle Kingdom on January 4.

Opinion: I’m not sure what is going to happen here but the fact that Okada is even open to going elsewhere is quite the shakeup. While it seems more likely that he’ll be heading to AEW, there is always the chance of WWE picking him up, which could make things all the more interesting. What makes things better here is there are viable options, which would not have been the case just a few years ago.
