She did it. There have been all kinds of records throughout wrestling history and some of them seem like they could never be broken. At some point, just about every record ever is either approached or broken, which can make for some very historic moments. That is the case again, as a WWE record that seemed rather lofty has been broken, with even higher numbers still to come.

Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair retained her title this weekend at Backlash in a successful defense against Iyo Sky. As a result, Belair’s title reign reached 399 days, breaking Becky Lynch’s record for the longest reign in the title’s history and the longest reigning Women’s Champion in modern WWE. Lynch was never defeated for the title and only vacated it due to her pregnancy in 2021. Belair defeated Lynch to win the title at WrestleMania 38 in 2022.

It’s been a good one. Check out Belair’s reign:
Opinion: Congratulations to Belair, who has done quite the impressive job as champion. Part of the problem with holding the title this long is finding new challengers, and her match against such a challenger in Sky worked rather well. That is a sign of just how good Belair has become in such a short amount of time, and I’m curious to see how long she can hold the title against such competition.
What do you think of the record? How long will Belair hold the title? Let us know in the comments below.
