Ever ever. WWE has been in business for several decades and has run virtually countless shows over the years. While most of those shows will run together over time, there are a few that stand out among the rest. Those are the shows that will get a special mention of some sort and that is what happened this week, as the company broke one of its all time records.

WWE held its annual Backlash event this weekend at the LDLC Arena in Lyon, France. During the show, it was announced that the event set an all time WWE record for the highest gate for an arena show. This comes a day after SmackDown, held in the same arena, set a record for the highest grossing SmackDown of all time. This was the first ever Premium Live Event in France.

Opinion: While a lot of this has to do with the ticket prices, there is something impressive about the fact that WWE has done something like this again. That is the kind of record they can brag about rather easily and they didn’t even wait until the end of the show. Like them or not, WWE is on absolute fire right now and it is rather fascinating to see how far they can take that momentum.
