You have to start the list somewhere. We are just over three weeks away from the Royal Rumble and that means it’s time to start getting ready for the show’s namesake matches. The men’s and women’s Royal Rumble are two of the most important matches of the year and the people involved in the matches are going to be some of the bigger deals that the WWE roster has to offer.

But who gets to be in the Royal Rumble? That’s where things are going to get interesting, as you never know who you might see making an appearance. WWE does like to set some of the lineup in advance though and that means it can take away some of the mystery. You have to announce a few of the participants in advance though and WWE has done just that this week.

During this week’s SmackDown, Roman Reigns announced that he will be the first entrant in the men’s Royal Rumble match. At the same time, Reigns suggested that he will be facing Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 36 after Bryan defeats the Fiend for the Universal Title at the Royal Rumble. At the moment, Reigns and Charlotte are the only entrants announced for their respective Royal Rumbles.

It was a serious moment. Check out Reigns’ announcement:

Opinion: You had to know this is coming and it really wouldn’t surprise me to see Reigns win the Rumble and move on to challenge the Fiend for the Universal Title at WrestleMania 36. I’m not sure how popular of a match that is going to be, but at the same time you know full well that WWE certainly enjoys pushing the heck out of Reigns every chance they can. Maybe it won’t happen, but that seems to be where we’re going.

Should Reigns win the Royal Rumble? Who do you see winning? Let us know in the comments below.
