It’s a different world. There are very few stories more unlikely than a wrestler like Daniel Bryan rising to the heights that he has reached. Bryan is a wrestler of below average size and isn’t the most physically impressive performer. However, through a combination of charisma and an incredible in-ring IQ, Bryan has become a top star in the wrestling world. But what about wrestling the style that made him famous before he came to WWE?

Bryan was recently interviewed by Super Luchas (in Spanish), where he was asked if he missed being an independent wrestler. Bryan said that he did, mainly because of how different it felt every night. Instead of wrestling the same people over and over, Bryan would have to change his style to adapt to someone else. In addition to the wrestlers, Bryan misses wrestling in different buildings and being in front of smaller crowds. He did not say that he disliked wrestling in WWE, calling the situation a different sensation.

He’s been in a big story of late. Check out the most recent development:

Opinion: It’s understandable that Bryan would miss working the independent style as it really is a completely different world. Sure you might work against someone a few times, but how often would it be someone completely different? In WWE, the company itself is the production but on the independent circuit, the wrestlers themselves are the product. Whenever Bryan leaves WWE, I can’t imagine he won’t wrestle on the independent circuit again, just because he loves wrestling anywhere so much.
