That’s a way to go. We are almost to WrestleMania 38 and that means the show is mostly set. WWE has a large collection of matches already set for WrestleMania but there is always a bit more room to be filled in. With so little time left before the show, some of the matches added might be a bit of a surprise, which seems to be the case again with a certain big showdown.
According to Fightful Select, the current plan for WrestleMania is Omos vs. Bobby Lashley. Omos has been dominating against other opponents, including winning handicap matches, but does not have a WrestleMania opponent. Lashley has not wrestled since the Royal Rumble due to a shoulder injury and has not appeared since the Elimination Chamber event back in February.
Opinion: This is certainly a different way to go but I’m not sure how much of a success it is going to be. At the end of the day, I’m not sure how much Lashley is going to be able to do against a monster like Omos. Lashley has been one of the best things about WWE over the last year and a half and hopefully this goes well for both of them. Omos could use the big step forward, but I don’t know if I can see him beating Lashley at WrestleMania.
