On the mend. While he has his detractors, there have been few stars in WWE history who have reached the heights of John Cena. One of the biggest stars in the history of WWE, Cena has been around since 2002 but in recent years has mainly focused on his acting career. Cena has only wrestled occasionally and now it might be a bit before he can do so again.

Cena has announced via Twitter that he recently underwent arm surgery in Birmingham, Alabama, though he did not specify why he needed the surgery. He also said that he will be heading for therapy on his arm before having his other arm fixed as well. There is no word on when Cena will return to WWE. He lost to Solo Sikoa at WWE Crown Jewel last weekend and has teased retirement.
Thank you @JeffDugasMD and your entire team in Birmingham! One arm fixed, clean & headed for therapy … one arm left to go! Thank you again and see you ASAP for the next one!!

Cena had a nice run with some bad arms. Check out his recent efforts:
Opinion: Those surgeries would certainly explain why Cena might be going away from WWE for the time being. That seems to be something that he has been needing to get fixed and thankfully he is already on the way to a recovery. Cena’s retirement could be one of the biggest stories WWE has seen in a long time, though it might not be happening anytime soon due to his surgery and the end of the Hollywood strikes.
