According to TMZ.com, WWE star Sonya Deville was arrested on February 19 in Atlantic City, New Jersey on a charge of possession a firearm without a New Jersey permit. A valet reportedly found the gun and called authorities, leading to the arrest. Deville has possessed the weapon since she was stalked by a fan in August 2020. The gun is registered to her in Florida but not in New Jersey and Deville has a hearing scheduled for later this month. According to PWInsider.com, Deville does not have heat with WWE management over the issue. Neither Deville nor WWE have commented on the situation.
Deville is quite good at her job. Check out what she has been doing in WWE:
Opinion: This is a situation that seems to be more of a misunderstanding than anything else. Deville has the weapon registered but not in the right place. That seems to be a bit less serious than some other situations, and WWE seems to not be overly upset by what happened. There is a good chance that Deville will not face serious trouble for this, and hopefully nothing too serious takes place as a result.
