He’s doing pretty well. Merchandise has been a huge part of wrestling for decades now and always will be. It is a simple idea that is always going to make sense: there are wrestlers who fans want to see and almost all of them have all kinds of merchandise, ranging from t-shirts to hats to jackets and all kinds of other things. Merchandise sales can be a nice suggestion for how well a wrestler is doing and now we have a good idea of how a newcomer is being received.
One of the biggest stories coming out of the Royal Rumble was rapper Bad Bunny appearing on the show to perform his song about Booker T. Bunny would appear later in the show as well as on the following Monday Night Raw. As a celebrity and huge wrestling fan, WWE is interested in keeping Bunny around for the time being and now there is some proof that he is a success.
As of 3pm EST on February 6, all of the Bunny merchandise on WWE Shop is officially sold out. Bunny’s merchandise includes a shirt (with a regular version, a kid’s version and a woman’s version), a hoodie and a poster. It is not clear when the merchandise will be restocked or if there will be new items introduced. Bunny has been rumored to wrestle a match at WrestleMania 37.
They have something here. Check out what Bunny has done in WWE:
Opinion: I know Bunny might not be a big deal to everyone but it certainly seems that WWE has something with him here. If that is the case, they would be crazy to not push him until it stops working. Bunny is someone with a celebrity following of his own and if this is a success, it might make some other celebrities want to get involved in wrestling. WWE is getting something out of it though so good for everyone involved.
