Can you blame them? WWE has a huge locker room and that is going to be a difficult thing to keep running. With so many different people and personalities running around, there are only so many things that can be done. Among many other things, WWE has to make sure that the wrestlers are happy, which can be changed in the blink of an eye if something goes south. That might have been the case this week.
The Hurt Business was one of the most successful and dominant stable in recent years. The group was comprised of three wrestlers and a manager in MVP, with Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander all holding titles at the same time. Things started to fall apart in a hurry though and the team split up in a hurry. As it turns out, that is the kind of thing that did not set well with the roster.
According to Fightful Select, the WWE locker room’s morale was hurt by the Hurt Business being split up. This came after Lashley and MVP tried to talk Vince McMahon out of splitting up the stable but their complains only made McMahon more sure about what he wanted to do. There is no word on why McMahon wanted to break up the team or what is next for everyone.
The team was great while it lasted. Check out some of their time together and their split:
Opinion: This still seems like the kind of decision that was made for the sake of shaking things up with no thought for what it was going to mean. The team had become successful and given Alexander and Benjamin something to do after spinning their wheels for years. Then they were split up out of nowhere, which seemed like quite the waste of time. Can you blame the locker room for being upset by the whole thing?
