I think they’ve earned it. WrestleMania 37 has come and gone and the biggest shows of the year delivered fairly well this year. There were two nights of action this year and the shows had some rather strong action up and down both cards. That included a pair of main events, with the first one being a pretty historic moment. The match itself seemed rather good, but how is it being seen backstage?

The main event of WrestleMania 37 night one featured Bianca Belair defeating Sasha Banks to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion, marking her first title in WWE. This was the first time that two women had headlined WrestleMania in a singles match and both women’s first WrestleMania main event. The match was certainly a milestone and it seems that WWE is appreciating it as well.

According to Sports Illustrated, the match between Banks and Belair has received universal praise backstage in WWE. The decision was also made to leave Reginald out of the final build so that the two could have the moment to themselves. There is also a chance that the two of them could have a rematch down the line, as Banks was asked about Belair during this week’s SmackDown.

It just might be a little while before we see that rematch. This week’s SmackDown saw Banks storm off when asked about Belair’s victory. Also during the show, Bayley said that she wanted to challenge Belair for the title. There is no word on when either of the matches would be taking place, though Bayley has not wrestled a match since the February 19 edition of SmackDown.

The match went well. Check out how it went down plus the fallout:

Opinion: It is kind of hard to disagree with what WWE thinks of the match as it really was great. Both of them were on fire throughout the match and they both did everything they needed to do. Above all else, the match lived up to the hype and made Belair feel like the star WWE wanted her to be. That is one of the hardest things to pull off in wrestling and they made it work.

As a bonus, I’m curious to see how a rematch between the two would go, which is probably why WWE seems to be interested in waiting on the rematch. Having Belair face and likely defeat Bayley could open up a few doors, while also giving Belair some extra momentum. Belair has not been near the top of the division for very long and beating one of the best ever in Bayley would do her a lot of good on her way to the big rematch with Banks.
