He went a bit too far. There are a lot of ways to set up a wrestling feud, though some of the modern versions are a little bit different than the classics. Social media has become an option to set up a feud, but like almost anything else, it has to be done right. This time around, it seems that a wrestler tried to set something up but didn’t quite st things up properly.

According to Fightful Select, AEW’s Anthony Ogogo had some heat backstage over a tweet he sent to Ring of Honor’s Jonathan Gresham. After Gresham won the Ring of Honor World Title at Final Battle earlier this month, Ogogo tweeted that Gresham’s title win was similar to Hornswoggle being the final holder of the original WWE Cruiserweight Title. Ogogo continue to go back and forth with Gresham’s wife Jordynne Grace, who wrestles for Impact Wrestling.

Gresham and Grace were said to not be involved in the situation and several AEW wrestlers were not pleased. However, it is believed by some that Ogogo was merely trying to set up an angle with Gresham for a potential appearance in AEW. Ogogo’s situation is said to not have him with any serious heat and that Gresham will likely handle it person to person with Ogogo without any major problems. There is currently nothing to suggest that Gresham is coming to AEW at the moment.

Gresham is a rather talented star in his own right. Check out what he has done in his career:

Opinion: This seems to be nothing more than Ogogo trying to do something but not knowing exactly how to do it. If that is the case, this is going to be forgotten about after a simple apology, with the whole thing turning into a learning experience. Ogogo is still fairly new in the wrestling business and could use a few pointers. That is not the worst thing in the world and hopefully nothing else comes of it.

What did you think of Ogogo’s comments? Will Gresham appear in AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
