They don’t sound happy. There are a lot of wrestlers on the WWE roster today and it is not surprising that not all of them are going to get along. Sometimes you are going to see people who have some kind of an issue and it can lead to things getting a little more intense than they should. It seems that was the case this week backstage over something that took place on television.

The closing segment of this week’s SmackDown saw Charlotte and Becky Lynch exchange their respective Women’s Titles due to being drafted to other brands. However, according to PWInsider.com, the segment did not come off as planned. Charlotte had not liked the plan for the segment throughout the day, fearing that it would make her look weak.

During the segment, Charlotte dropped her title instead of handing it to Lynch. As a result, Lynch threw her own title at Charlotte before the segment ended as planned. This led to a backstage altercation between the two, as Lynch accused Charlotte of trying to make her look back. The two yelled at each other but it did not get physical.

According to talkSPORT, Vince McMahon was not happy with Charlotte for leaving the gorilla position backstage without speaking to him about the segment and altercation. Charlotte had been unhappy with the idea throughout the week and had even offered to drop the Raw Women’s Title to Bianca Belair during their title match on Monday Night Raw but was turned down. In addition, according to Fightful Select, WWE officials asked Charlotte to leave the arena before Lynch’s dark match ended to avoid any other issues.

Finally, PWInsider.com is also reporting that thereis heat on Charlotte for changing the original plans, but there is no heat on Lynch for the backstage altercation, as she was said to be standing up for herself after being pushed too far. Had the backstage altercation gotten physical, the situation might be different, but Lynch is not currently in trouble. There is no word on what sort of punishment Charlotte could face.

This wasn’t great. Check out the segment, plus a bit of both with the titles:

Opinion: I’m not sure what exactly happened here but this is not the best look for just about anyone involved. Charlotte doesn’t quite look professional, Lynch looks like she was being toyed with and WWE doesn’t look great because it wasn’t a good idea in the first place. Just trading titles matches the belts look worthless and that is likely to continue for a long time to come. It was a bad segment and everyone but WWE seemed to know that.

What did you think of the segment? What is next for both of them? Let us know in the comments below.
