It's Back: WWE Announces Return Of Premium Live Event For Later This Year

Mark your calendars. There are all kinds of events throughout the year in WWE and some of them are a lot bigger than others. The company will present special events with unique rules and matches, some of which only take place on one night a year. That was the case last year and now it seems that WWE is going to be bringing it back again this year for a repeat.

WWE has announced that NXT will present Deadline on December 9 at the Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This will be the second Deadline event, following last year’s premiere, which featured the Iron Survival Challenge matches. There have been no matches announced, though some wrestlers advertised include Carmelo Hayes, Tiffany Stratton, Ilja Dragunov, Bron Breakker and more. NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio are NOT advertised for the show.

Opinion: This is starting to get interesting for NXT, as they are running more regular major events on the road. That is something they need to do at some point as you can only get so much out of working in front of the same locations and crowds. The return of the Iron Survival Challenge could make things all the more interesting and it would give the show something to build around, which is a good idea.
