Back Soon: Update On Chris Jericho’s AEW Status, Set To Miss A Few Shows

It might be a bit. There are all kinds of wrestlers on the AEW roster and some of them are rather big names in the industry who have been around for a very long time. It can make a big difference to have them around, but there are times when one of them has to go away for one reason or another. That is the case with one of AEW’s biggest stars, but it has nothing to do with wrestling.

According to Fightful by way of Cagesideseats.com, Chris Jericho will be absent from AEW TV for “at least a couple of weeks” as Jericho will be on tour with his band Fozzy. Jericho was last seen losing to Konosuke Takeshita with help from the Don Callis Family. There is no word on when Jericho will be returning to the ring or what he will be doing when he comes back to television. There is also the chance that Jericho could send in some pre-taped content that could air without him being around in person.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that happens every so often and it should be a big deal when Jericho returns for some revenge on Takeshita. At the same time, Jericho being gone for a bit might not be the worst thing. He has been around AEW since the beginning and a little break from him might not be the worst idea, if nothing else for the sake of letting the fans miss him a bit.
