And that’s done. There have been all kinds of things taking place in WWE this week, with one huge story taking place after another. The biggest one came at the end, with a lawsuit against Vince McMahon alleging a series of sexual abuse and trafficking actions against a former WWE employee. To say this caused a shock wave in wrestling would be an understatement but now things have changed a bit.

Following the announcement of the lawsuit, longtime WWE sponsor Slim Jim announced that it was pulling its sponsorship over the McMahon issues. However, Friday night, McMahon officially announced his resignation from WWE and the TKO Group. According to PWInsider, following McMahon’s resignation, Slim Jim has restored its sponsorship with WWE and should be featured at this weekend’s Royal Rumble.

Opinion: That is a quick turn around and it shouldn’t be the biggest surprise. Slim Jim was upset over McMahon still being involved with WWE but then that changed, so there was no reason for Slim Jim to stay away. It’s good to see things back to normal, even if it means a brand new normal with McMahon no longer involved in WWE for the first time ever. It’s going to be interesting to see where this goes, but this is a big first step.
