Back Later? Top AEW Star Reportedly Set To Take Time Off Following Revolution

Back in a bit? There are all kinds of wrestlers on the AEW roster but occasionally there are times when one of them has to go away for a big. This could be for a variety of reasons but it can be a big deal when they are gone. It is even worse if it is someone who has been in a prominent position, but now we might be seeing it again as a former World Champion could be taking a break.

According to Fightful Select, Hangman Page is expected to take some time away from AEW. While not confirmed, there is a chance that Page attacking referees at this weekend’s AEW Revolution was a way to write Page off television. Page is reportedly taking time off to deal with a family matter and could be gone for as long as a few months. Page lost to Samoa Joe in a Triple Threat match at Revolution, also involving Swerve Strickland.

Opinion: I’m not sure why Page needs time off but if he needs to step away for a bit, AEW has certainly set him up for a way out of action for a while. Page going nuts and attacking referees is as good of a move as any and that is what might have happened over the weekend. Hopefully whatever the family issue is can be taken care of without much trouble and Page can get back soon, but the family stuff is more important.
