Back Later? Big Update On Becky Lynch’s WWE Contract Status Following Monday Night Raw, Lynch Comments

Back later? WWE has been making a variety of changes in the way it operates under the new ownership. Some of these changes have been rather impactful, with the wrestlers being treated in a different way. This includes a change in the way the company handles new contracts, including a top star whose contract is set to expire with no more appearances expected.

According to Fightful Select, Becky Lynch’s current WWE deal is set to expire on Saturday June 1. There is currently nothing to indicate that she has signed a new deal with WWE. Lynch lost the WWE Women’s World Title to Liv Morgan on Saturday at King And Queen Of The Ring and then lost to Morgan again in a cage match this week on Monday Night Raw. Following the loss, Lynch posted an image of herself walking away saying “to be continued”. There is no word on when Lynch will return to the ring, but she is expected to receive the biggest contract offer in the history of women’s wrestling.

Opinion: This has been one of the more intriguing stories in WWE for a good while now and the question becomes where Lynch will go next. For the life of me I cannot imagine her actually leaving WWE, but I can certainly buy her taking a break for a bit. Maybe she takes a little time away from WWE and comes back later on, as she has certainly earned that kind of a breather if she wants one.
