Welcome back? There have been countless names throughout WWE’s history and some of them are known for certain things besides being in the ring. It might be something that they do on a wrestling show that gets them noticed and that can make for an important contribution. Now one of the most prominent voices in the company’s history is reportedly in talks for a return.

WWE Hall Of Famer Jesse Ventura recently appeared on the Vanguard and teased a return to WWE following Vince McMahon’s departure. Ventura suggested that the talks began when McMahon left WWE earlier this year, though he did not say what kind of role he would have or how far along the talks have gotten. Ventura has not appeared for WWE since 2009 and left the company full time in 1990.

Ventura certainly has a history. Check out his time in WWE:

Opinion: This is pure nostalgia for a lot of people and that is not a bad thing. While I cannot imagine Ventura becoming a full time commentator or anything else, having him show up as a special guest on Monday Night Raw, say in Minnesota, would be very nice. Let him come back for a cameo and make some old fans smile, while also letting him show how good he can be with a microphone, as he has shown over the years.
