Welcome back. Wrestlers have a weird career trajectory as you can see them wrestle for years before stopping, only to come back to the ring later on. Occasionally it can be the start of another full time run or sometimes it is just for a one off match. We saw that again over the weekend with a former WWE Superstar returning to the ring for the first time in a few years.

Over the weekend, Nhooph Al-Areebi, formerly known as Aliyah during her time in WWE, wrestled her first match in over two years, competing in a match for Destiny Wrestling. There is no word on if Al-Areebi is planning a full time return to the ring or if this will be her final appearance. Al-Areebi last wrestled for WWE in September 2022 before being released from WWE in September 2023.

You might remember her. Check out Aliyah’s time in WWE:
Opinion: Aliyah is a great example of someone who had a nice run in WWE but then just kind of fell off to the side after it was over. I’m not sure what that means for her future, but it was nice to see her getting back in the ring one more time after such a lengthy absence. Maybe she is going to be appearing elsewhere in the future, though for now, she at least got to do this one more time.
