Respect the classics. There have been very few wrestlers who have received as much attention for things outside of the ring as the Revolt. Formerly known as the Revival, the team has left WWE and seem to be moving on to other things in the near future. It isn’t clear where things are heading, but it does turn out that the two of them have a nod to the past in their futures.
During the team’s time in WWE, the team combined form the Revival and were individually known as Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder. The names were fine, but they aren’t exactly the most memorable in the world. A name can mean a lot, as a combination of a tribute, a hidden meaning, or really anything else. It turns out that their new names of Cash Wheeler (Wilder) and Dax Harwood (Dawson) have a little bit of both.
Wheeler responded to a fan on Twitter who had asked about the origins of the team’s new names. The fan said that his wife had thought guessed that the names were tributes to Ax and Smash of Demolition. Wheeler confirmed that the theory was correct, saying that the fan’s wife was the first person to figure it out. There is no word on when the Revolt will be wrestling again.
Your wife was the first to solve it. https://t.co/C4XARIvubP

Which team do you like better? Check out both of them in action:
Opinion: That’s the kind of thing that makes my eyebrows pop up as I never would have guessed it but I like the tribute. Demolition is a team that doesn’t get a lot of praise despite being one of the most successful teams of all time. It’s nice to see a great team of the past getting some attention and it’s even better when it’s a team outside of the usual list of names who pop up.
Do you like the names? How good was Demolition? Let us know in the comments below.
