He’s back. Every so often, you will get a surprise appearance in wrestling, which can shake up everything going on with a show. It might not even be a wrestler showing up that night, but rather the tease of someone coming later on. It makes for a special moment and that is what we got over the weekend, as the return of a guest star has been teased, which should have some fans invested.

Following the main event of this weekend’s NXT Heatwave event, TNA Wrestling’s Joe Hendry appeared on the screen but did not say anything. While not confirmed, this suggests that Hendry will be returning to the promotion at some point in the future. Hendry had appeared in NXT on June 18, participating in a battle royal. This is part of a recent crossover between WWE and TNA.
According to Fightful Select, WWE is hoping to use Hendry extensively in the coming months as a part of the ongoing crossover. WWE is hoping to use small teases like this one to capitalize on Hendry’s ability to go viral with the teases of his appearances. Hendry was not in Toronto for this weekend’s WWE events, though the backstage response to whether WWE would be interested in signing Hendry was said to be “who wouldn’t”.
Hendry has done some nice things. Check out his appearance and what he has accomplished elsewhere:
Opinion: This is where things can get interesting in a hurry, as Hendry is someone who got quite a bit of attention as soon as he debuted. He is a ball of charisma and it makes sense that WWE would want to use him again as soon as possible. It would not surprise me to see Hendry coming to WWE full time as soon as he can, as WWE certainly seems interested in having him.
