That would be big. WWE is the largest and most powerful wrestling company in the world and as a result, they are able to stage events in several different areas. Last fall WWE presented Clash At The Castle in Wales and last week, Backlash took place in Puerto Rico. The company is still trying to go to different arenas, and now they might have something else in mind.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter and the West Australian, WWE officials recently visited Perth, Australia for discussions on holding a Premium Live Event in the area. WWE also spoke with the local tourism board about the event, in a similar vein to what they did with Backlash and the Puerto Rico tourism board. While not confirmed as a venue, Optus Stadium in Perth can hold about 65,000 people. There is no word on when or where the event will be held, assuming it does take place. WWE’s last major event in Australia was Super Showdown in 2018, which was held in Melbourne.

WWE has been to Australia more than once. Check out some of their time in the country:

Opinion: This would be a very cool thing to see as WWE going international can make things all the more fascinating. While WWE travels around the United States, there is something rather different about heading to another side of the world. I’m curious to see where else they might take things, with Australia being quite the destination if that is where they choose to go.

What do you think of the idea? Where else should WWE hold a major event? Let us know in the comments below.
