They’re not done yet. Wrestling is in such a weird place at the moment and there is no reason to believe that is going to change in the near future. At the moment, wrestling shows are not allowed to include live audiences and that has changed everything about how the shows look and feel. Some companies have tried to figure out a way around them and another can now be added to the list.

Over the last few weeks, WWE and AEW have figured out a way to keep the shows going with no audiences in the building. That is not something that every company can make work, but it does not mean that it is impossible for everyone else. As it turns out, another company is trying to copy the WWE formula, which could even include a major event that was previously postponed.

According to PWInsider.com, Impact Wrestling will be taping several weeks worth of television this week at the Skyline Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. The plan is to tape six to eight weeks of television, which could include the Rebellion pay per view. Rebellion was originally scheduled to air on Sunday April 19 in New York City but was postponed due to the spread of the Coronavirus. There is no word on if the show will air on pay per view or AXS TV. Impact Wrestling is allowed to do this as the current ruling in Tennessee does not apply to closed sets, making this legal under the state’s orders.

Rebellion is looking like a good show. Check out some highlights from the build to the event:

Opinion: It’s interesting that other companies are finding a way to keep their shows going no matter what is going on. These marathon sessions make a lot of sense as it isn’t clear how long the current situation will go. Hopefully they come up with a way to keep things going even longer, as I was looking forward to Rebellion and now we might actually get to see it take place.

Do you like this plan? How many companies will get to run events like this? Let us know in the comments below.
