Catch you later? There are a lot of talented wrestlers on the AEW roster but there is only so much television time to go around. As a result, it can be rather difficult to find a way to keep everyone on television on a regular basis. That will continue to be a problem until there are fewer wrestlers or more television time and now we might be seeing one of the problems lighten up a bit.

According to Fightful Select, Buddy Matthews may be either out of AEW or going away for the time being. His pinfall loss to Sting on Rampage is reported to be the way AEW will write him off of television. This comes after Matthews was said to have been upset over how he was used in AEW for the last several months. Matthews reportedly addressed the situation at a Fight Live Pro Wrestling event over the weekend, where he said this:

“Unfortunately, tonight, I’m going to be the bearer of some unfortunate news. As everyone knows, the House of Black has had some issues lately. As all the members of the house, I speak beyond the wall, we want to thank you all for being members of the house. Unfortunately, I, like some of the other members, need to go away for a while. I need to recalibrate. I need to figure out some things. As my brother Malakai once said, this isn’t goodbye, this is see you later.”

There is no word on where or when Matthews will be able to wrestle next.

Opinion: It is getting interesting to see so many people either venting frustrations with AEW or just flat out trying to leave all of a sudden. There is something going on behind the scenes and I’m not sure where this is going to settle down. Above all else, it is hard to say who else is going to want out or go away, as it seems like there could be even more people on the way out in the next little while.
