There’s always room for more wrestling. There are a lot of wrestling shows available at the moment. Like a lot a lot of them. Just counting the original content every week, you have at least eight weekly shows (WWE, Impact Wrestling, ROH), which is before AEW debuts. With so much content to watch, it might seem a bit insane to add another. However, that is what’s going on and from an old, familiar name.
In a new video posted to the NWA’s YouTube page, NWA owner Billy Corgan announced a new weekly television show from the promotion. There are very few details available, though the show will be taped at a venue in Atlanta, Georgia and the first shows will be taped on September 30 and October 1. There was no mention of talent appearing, a show name or a television network.
That brings up some old memories. Check out Corgan’s announcement:
Opinion: This is something that I was kind of expecting one day but at the same time it’s almost impossible to believe that it is happening. The NWA was such a joke for so long that it seems almost impossible to have them on television again. At the same time though, they’re at the point where a show could actually be interesting. Some of the stuff they have done has worked well enough and maybe they can keep growing from here.
