Another Role: Popular AEW Star Also Working Behind The Scenes

It’s a job. There are all kinds of people who have to come together to make a wrestling event work. Some of these people are more prominent than others, but there are several jobs that have to be done by people behind the scenes. This time though, a rather important behind the scenes job is being handled by someone best known for their time in front of the camera.

According to Fightful Select, AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy has been working as an agent for the company. This included recent matches involving the Infantry vs. the Kingdom (in Ring Of Honor) and Big Bill/Brian Cage vs. Trent Beretta/Matt Sydal. It is not clear if this is going to be a full time job for Cassidy or a situation where he is helping out in the short term.

Opinion: Sure why not. Cassidy is someone who has been around AEW since the beginning and has certainly carved out a niche for himself there. If this is something there he can help out a little bit, why not let him see what he can do? At the very least, the company can use some fresh blood in some areas so maybe this can help shake things up for them a little bit.
