Another One: Bobby Lashley Reveals Plans To Participate In Other Sports, Has Competition Set Up

Crossover appeal. There are some incredible athletes in professional wrestling, to the point where they could be put into another spot and be quite successful if given the chance. It makes for some interesting situations when you see a wrestler try their hand at something else. That might be what we are going to see again, as a top wrestling star says he is planning to try another sport.

During an interview with The Laboratory, Bobby Lashley spoke about wanting to participate in other sports. This included taking part in a boxing match, saying that he has a fight set up with an opponent in Las Vegas. Lashley said that there was an opponent set but did not name him. In addition, Lashley, 48, said that he wanted to win a world championship in jiu-jitsu and run a marathon. This comes as Lashley’s WWE contract is believed to expire this weekend. He did not reference signing with another wrestling promotion but did not say he was done with wrestling.

Opinion: It can always be interesting to see someone from wrestling getting involved with another sport as there is always the chance that they can make it work. Lashley has already had success in mixed martial arts and it would not be shocking to see him do well in something like this. Good for him if he can make it work, as that is the kind of athleticism that you almost never see anywhere.
