Another One Out: AEW Original Seems To Have Departed The Company

Farewell? There have been all kinds of wrestlers on the AEW roster since the company was formed less than five years ago. Some of the names on the roster have been incredibly talented and it means a lot when one of the stars is able to make a name for themselves. Now it seems that another of them has left after a fairly long stretch of limited activity in the ring.

Sonny Kiss’ profile has been removed from the AEW roster page, suggesting that Kiss has departed from the company. AEW has not made any announcement of the departure, which is how they typically handle a wrestler leaving the company. Kiss has been with AEW since the beginning, but has not wrestled an AEW match since an episode of Dark in March, instead appearing infrequently on Ring Of Honor.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that has to happen every so often. Kiss was never a top star in AEW but the talent helped shine through a lot. The fact that Kiss hasn’t been in an AEW ring in almost six months should tell you everything you need to know though and now we will have to see what happens next. It wouldn’t surprise me to see more older names depart AEW, which just has to happen at some point.
