That finishes things up. We are less than two weeks away from Survivor Series and that means we are going to be in for an interesting night. Above all else, the show is built around the idea of Monday Night Raw vs. SmackDown in a series of matches, with the men’s elimination match being near the top of the list. The teams are still being formed, but one is now complete.
Both of the teams have been formed through a series of qualifying matches between various stars. That is the kind of thing that can make for some interesting pairings and helps to get the best of the best onto the team. That being said, there are only going to be so many wrestlers able to be put on the team, which is why WWE had to come up with an idea to help fill out the roster.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Riddle won a triple threat match over Elias and Jeff Hardy to become the fifth and final member on the Monday Night Raw Survivor Series team. Riddle, Hardy and Elias had all lost previous qualifying matches, meaning Riddle made it onto the team in a second chance. The final lineup will be AJ Styles, Sheamus, Riddle, Keith Lee and Braun Strowman.
It took some big matches to get here. Check out the previous qualifying matches:
Opinion: This is as good as you’re going to get at the moment, but there are some issues this year with the lack of being able to have the shows do anything physical against each other. That has taken away a lot of the spark from the show and hopefully they can find something to make it work better. Riddle joining the team isn’t going to make that big of a difference, but at least it is better than nothing.
