One more for the card. Payback is one of the most unique wrestling shows in WWE history as the company is trying to put the show together in less than a week. There is only so much that you can do in so little time but WWE is doing everything that they can in so little time. That includes announcing as many matches as they can on television and they did it again this week.

There are few wrestlers as controversial as King Corbin. A lot of fans don’t seem to think much of him but WWE certainly presents him quite often, mostly in some fairly prominent roles as a major heel. This means that he gets to have a lot of prominent feuds with television time and that will be the case again with a Payback back which has been simmering for a few weeks.

Corbin vs. Matt Riddle has been officially announced for Sunday’s Payback event. This week on SmackDown, Riddle called Corbin out but Shorty G. jumped Riddle instead as Corbin watched. Later in the night, Corbin said that he would face Riddle on Sunday with the match being officially announced later that night. This will be the pair’s first ever match against each other.

They have taken some time getting there. Check out how we got there:

Opinion: I’m not big on Corbin but in theory this should be a fairly easy and big time win for Riddle. WWE seems to see something in him and giving him a pay per view win should make him seem like a bigger deal. At some point you need to win some big matches and that is what Riddle can do at Payback. Corbin has put a lot of people over and it still means something, so well done on setting the table correctly.

What are you expecting from the match? Where do you see both going after Sunday? Let us know in the comments below.
