Welcome to the family. There have been all kinds of wrestlers who have appeared throughout WWE’s history. Some of these names have become known for one thing in particular and that one thing can carry on after their time in WWE is over. You might see them pop up elsewhere, and that is going to be the situation with a former WWE star rather soon.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Three More Monday Night Raw Superstars Move To SmackDown, Update On WWE Transfer Period
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, former WWE Superstar Elijah, formerly known as Elias, has signed with AEW. This comes after Elijah was filmed in a recent video with AEW tag team the Righteous and the three recently teamed on the Chris Jericho cruise. There is no word on when Elijah could be debuting with AEW or how he will be used. Elijah has been regularly wrestling on the independent circuit since his last match in WWE in May 2023.
He’s still good. Check out Elijah in WWE:

Opinion: This is where things can get interesting, as having Elijah come back after almost two years away from WWE was not something I was expecting. Elijah is a talented guy and someone who has done some good things in WWE so I get why AEW wants to sign him. For now, we’ll have to wait and see what he is going to do, but it is certainly interesting enough in the first place.
What do you think of the move? How should Elijah be used in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
