They’re done. There are all kinds of stars on the AEW roster, some of which are almost never used. Those are the names that you might forget are even around, which can often allow them to make their exit under the radar. That appears to be the case again, as one of the biggest names in the history of wrestling appears to have departed the company, while taking something else with him.

According to Fightful Select, AEW is no longer working with Ric Flair and the company is no longer sponsored by his WOO energy drink. Flair has not been used by AEW since Revolution in March and is said to have not been brought up in “not some time”. The partnership with the energy drink paid for Flair’s appearances in AEW. Flair is still officially under contract with AEW but there is nothing to indicate that he will be used again.

He had a big run. Check out Flair’s time in AEW:

Opinion: This isn’t much of a surprise as Flair has not been used in more than three months and I don’t know how much of a demand there was for him to be there in the first place. Flair was seemingly only around as part of Sting’s retirement tour, meaning there was only so much need to have him there with Sting gone. It just wasn’t the best fit and that seems to be even more clear now that Flair is mostly gone.
