Already Back: Injured NXT Champion Reportedly Cleared To Return

She’ll be back. NXT is in a unique situation as is both the official WWE developmental system as well as a national wrestling program. The show features a variety of young up and coming stars, many of whom have come a long way under the WWE banner. It can mean a lot to have success in NXT and now one of the more promising stars is getting some good news.

The main event of last month’s NXT Roadblock saw NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez retain her title over Meiko Satomura. Following the match, Perez collapsed and was taken away from the arena in an ambulance. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Perez has been medically cleared and will likely be returned to NXT storylines in the near future. Perez was mentioned in a tweet this week on NXT, saying she would be back but did not know when. Perez has not been stripped of the title, which will be on the line in a ladder match at Stand & Deliver, where Perez is involved in the match or not.

Opinion: That is good to hear and having Perez back sooner than later is a good thing. Perez is the kind of star that you do not find very often and she has more talent than she knows what to do with at times. Let her get back in the ring and build up her skills even more, which can only happen with more ring time. If she is healthy enough to return, getting her back sooner than later is a good thing.
