Those are some strong words. After around twenty years of WWE dominance, the wrestling world has a new major player in the form of AEW. The new company has made quite the impact in its short history and there is nothing to suggest that they will be slowing down anytime soon. A lot of that can be credited to the company’s boss, Tony Khan, who had quite the thought on this week’s Monday Night Raw.

Khan appeared on the most recent edition of My Mom’s Basement and discussed the head to head battles between WWE and AEW television, including the Wednesday Night Wars. During the interview, Khan talked about this week’s edition of SmackDown, which will go head to head with AEW Rampage for half an hour. Khan said that while AEW might not have stronger numbers, they will have the better show, saying about this week’s Monday Night Raw, “if you don’t believe me, watch the go-home show they did last night because it sucked.” This will be a one off head to head competition between the two shows.

That’s quite the statement. Check out some of the best of all three shows:

Opinion: It is so strange to hear something like this from a major player in the wrestling world. You hear a lot of fans and others talking about how bad WWE television is, but to have another company’s boss talk about them like this is striking. There is certainly a competition between the two shows, and while AEW might lose on Friday, they are certainly not afraid to stick their necks out.
