Sooner than later? The rise of AEW has changed the way that the wrestling world works and that is a very good thing. At the end of the day, there are a lot of wrestlers in the world and WWE does not have room for all of them. Some of them are going to want to try their hand elsewhere and now AEW has given them the chance to do something just like that. We might know which wrestler could be a free agent soon.
There will always be room in the wrestling world for someone with an amateur background. While professional wrestling is quite different in a lot of ways, it all comes down to grappling on a mat. That means wrestlers with the right kind of background almost always at least get their foot in the door, and if the wrestlers have the charisma on top of it, things can get even better. That might be the case again.
AEW’s Dax Harwood responded to a tweet from WWE’s Chad Gable, asking why he was calling Otis his #1 guy. Harwood said that he knew Gable was not able to publicly respond to him for two months. While not specified, this suggests that Gable’s WWE contract may be expiring in the next two months. There is no word on Gable being interested in leaving WWE when his contract expires.
Wait, what’s all this #1 talk?! I know you’re not allowed to respond to me publicly for about 2 more months, but c’mon man! HE’S your #1?! https://t.co/8Hv8kBp3AG

They do have a heck of a history together. Check out their time in the ring together and Gable on his own:
Opinion: I’m not sure what Gable is going to do in the future but he is quite the talent to have. Gable is a former Olympian and someone with more charisma than he know what to do with. WWE had him wrestle as Shorty G. for over a year for the sake of a short joke. I have no idea what Gable is going to want to do, but at the same time, but I’m not sure I could blame him for wanting out if that is the case.
