You could book him too. The last few years have seen some big changed to the wrestling world. AEW’s debut and immediate rise to the second highest spot in the industry has opened up a very big stage for several wrestlers. Wrestlers who might not fit in WWE now have a new place to go, but this time around an AEW wrestler seems ready to ply his trade elsewhere.
AEW’s Lio Rush has announced that his contract with the company will expire on February 14, making him a free agent. There is no word on if Rush is interested in re-signing with AEW, as his tweet includes contact information for independent bookings. Rush debuted with the company in September and has only wrestled four matches since arriving. Most of Rush’s time in AEW has been spent as Dante Martin’s manager before Martin joined Team Taz.

Opinion: Rush is such an interesting case as he is in his mid 20s and has already wrestled around the world. That is not something that many wrestlers can say, though he has already had a few issues with leaving companies, as well as some situations that were ultimately smoothed over. Rush is talented enough to wrestle in several places, but he might not be someone who wants to stick around long term. That is not a bad thing, but it might limit his options.
What do you think of Rush? Where do you see him going next? Let us know in the comments below.
