The roster keeps growing. AEW hit the ground running like almost no wrestling company ever has and has done one good thing after another since they started. There is no reason to believe that will not continue to be the case going forward. One of the reasons this has been the case has been their talent roster, and now it has gotten a little bit stronger with a new signing.

A company like AEW has a difficult balancing act to pull off when it comes to their roster. While they need a roster which is going to appease their fan base, they are also going to need to bring in people who are recognizable and who have the credibility to build up the new generation. That seems to be the case with someone who has been around for a bit and is now signed full time.

AEW has announced that former WWE star Matt Sydal has officially signed with the company. Sydal, formerly known as Evan Bourne in WWE, debuted with the company at All Out in the Casino Battle Royal, where he slipped when attempting his signature shooting star press. He has continued to appear for the company since then, including matches on Dark and Dynamite.

Sydal is worth a look. Check out what he has done in AEW:

Opinion: This isn’t exactly a surprise and it’s nice to see Sydal getting to stick around AEW. He is the kind of wrestler who has enough name recognition from his time in WWE and has done quite a bit of work outside the mainstream to build up a reputation. Sydal can offer AEW a good hand and if he winds up becoming a bigger deal, good for both him and the company as a whole.

What do you think of Sydal? What should he do in AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
