It’s a big night. There are a lot of different ways to present a weekly wrestling show and some of them are a lot more interesting than others. That can make for some rather fun editions of the show and under the right circumstances, you can get something unique that stands out more than something else. We might be in for something like that early next year.

Back in January, AEW presented Bash At The Beach on back to back editions of Dynamite. This was a rather surprising development as WWE had picked up the Bash At The Beach trademark when WCW went out of business. Things were changing though and now they have changed again, as WWE has gotten the name back. Therefore, AEW now has another idea in mind.

During the Full Gear media call, AEW president Tony Khan announced a special edition of Dynamite called Beach Break, which will be taking place at some point in January. Beach Break is also the finishing move of Orange Cassidy, though it is not clear if the show will focus on Cassidy. Khan also promised something special for Dynamite in December but did not provide any additional details.

It’s like this but different. Check out AEW’s previous beach show:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that makes perfect sense and doesn’t even change all that much. AEW is going to need to have some shows of their own and the beach theme is fine. It’s not like having the show be called Bash At The Beach or Beach Break is going to make that much of a difference as long as the quality is there. If that is the case, everything is going to work out.
